A new adventure with Wings was released on July 8, 2014, Wings: Sky Force Heroes. I met Josh Duhamel a year and a half ago for a press junket. Josh has a very animated voice in person that carries over into the lead character of this movie, Ace.
Wings: Sky Force Heroes features the same voice talents as the first Wings. I was a little thrown off by the cover and during the start of this title by thinking it was a continuation of the first installment. Instead, the characters are a group of fire fighting planes, which is totally different from their duties written in the first installment. Ace is a cocky plane who goes against his Colonel’s orders and goes in on a rescue by himself. It leads to the loss of a member from the firefighting team. Ace quits Sky Force after the accident, fearing his judgement could injure another. Ace becomes a coal hauling plane with his sidekick, a robot, who is provided the voice of Rob Schneider. Ace works later to conquer his own fears and to shine with what he was always meant to do.
