When Calls the Heart Season 2 Premiere on Hallmark Channel Plus Giveaway #Hearties

This series is inspired by Janette Oke’s book series “When Calls the Heart” and is directed by Michael Landon Jr and Brian Bird.  Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), is a socialite who has taken on a teaching job in Coal Valley.  She takes on many unusual experiences in this simple, small town.  

 

Coal Valley had taken a serious hit to their community.  Many of the men who relied on the mine for a livelihood were killed in an explosion.  Since then, the widows of the town depend on Abigail Stanton (Lori Loughlin) to help look out for them.  

 

Abigail and a private investigator are working to build a case against the owner of the coal mine and that’s kind of where season 1 ends.  Season 2 heats up with some unexpected twists and turns during the trial and the judge’s final ruling.  

 

Elizabeth Thatcher had started a relationship with Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) in season I and their courtship was going well.  A family illness calls Elizabeth back home and Jack is able to come along for support.  Interactions with family members and old friends make the two examine their relationship.

 

When Calls the Heart is a wholesome series for the young and old.  My eight-year-old likes watching it with me.  🙂  Don’t forget to catch the Hallmark Channel this Saturday for the season 2 premiere of When Calls the Heart.
