I like putting together smoothies at home, but it can be a little time consuming once you prep all the fruits and veggies. To Go Brands has a product called Smoothie Complete in their Healthy To Go! product line, which I recently tried.
The preparation is simple. You just add a scoop or more of Smoothie Complete to your water bottle, add liquid, shake, and consume.
Smoothie Complete comes in a vanilla berry flavor. Each scoop contains 10 grams of whey protein, 21 vitamins and minerals, provides a good source of fiber (naturally made from Non GMO tapioca and/or corn starch), contains omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants that are equal to one serving of fruit.
This product is sweetened with Erythritol (natural derived sugar alcohol) and Rebiana (sweetener made from stevia). I thought it was neat to see chia (salvia hispanica) included in the supplemental facts list of this product. Chia seeds are noted to be rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
This product is to be mixed with your favorite beverage, juice or water in approximately a 16 oz. water bottle. You can also make it a frozen treat by adding ice, milk or juice, and Smoothie Complete in your blender. I thought Smoothie Complete had an appealing flavor when I just shook it well in the water bottle pictured above with 1% milk. I did not care for Smoothie Complete with just water. Juice made the flavor so-so in my opinion.
Smoothie Complete is available in a 13.6 oz. bag, which is to provide 20 servings. There is a plastic scoop included in the bag. The suggested retail price is $26.95.
