The Women’s Guide to Hormonal Harmony Book Review

As I have gotten older, I have learned more about the importance of hormones in the body. I have had classes over the years on biology and anatomy but I didn’t think a whole lot about the unique roles of hormones in my body and what happens when they are off-balance. I recently read The Women’s Guide to Hormonal Harmony: How to Rebalance Your Hormones, Master Your Metabolism, and Become the Boss of Your Own Body by Lacey Dunn. This paperback was released on May 25, 2021.

The Women’s Guide to Hormonal Harmony: How to Rebalance Your Hormones, Master Your Metabolism, and Become the Boss of Your Own Body was written to give women the tools, knowledge, and confidence to take control of their own bodies. I think there is a lot of truth in us knowing our bodies best.

I thought this book contained a lot of valuable information. Now if I knew nothing about the body and hormones already, I think I would find this book over my head because it is very comprehensive. Lacey discusses thyroid, cortisol, gut disorders, and more. If you have issues with infertility, this book may help you find some information as well. Lacey seems genuine in trying to help address the root cause of problems and shares hormonal symptoms that can be grouped together to help have a better idea of what may be going on with the symphony or lack thereof hormones in your body.

Lacey Dunn, MS, RD, LD, CPT, founder of UpliftFit Nutrition and host of the UpliftFit Nutrition podcast, is a functional medicine dietitian with a fiery passion for helping women feel and look their very best. People call her the “Hormone Fairy Godmother,” as her one mission in life is to help women go from surviving to thriving.
