The Smurfs – Dreams is available to play on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in both physical and digital formats. It is also available for PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Game Store, Microsoft Store), and Xbox One|Series in digital format.
As a Generation Xer, I grew up watching The Smurfs on Saturday mornings. Now the Smurfs are out in a new adventure with the 3D platformer from Ocellus Services: The Smurfs – Dreams. The creators of The Smurfs-Dreams got their idea of creation from an old Game Boy game called The Smurfs’ Nightmares. They took the Smurfs out of the forest and the Smurf Village. They put them into worlds that are inspired to be what their dreams might look like. Each Smurf to save is immersed in a world that is to look like what each character’s environment and theme might be like. An example of this is Smurfette. She has a cute and colorful part to her world and then a more arid and dark part to her world – representing the good side of Smurfette and the dark side from her past with being created by Gargamel. There is some inspiration to this game from Pixar too to add to its artistic direction. The game is very friendly, colorful, and vibrant.
Digital Deluxe Edition: Available on PC (Steam, Epic Game Store, GOG)

I received a copy of this game to review and have been playing it a couple hours over the weekend on our Switch. As an adult, I feel this game has some pretty good challenges. I have tried solo play and got my spouse to play along with me. We haven’t gotten far yet. The imagery makes the game very friendly in appearance and the story provides a great adventure.
About The Smurfs™
Blue and as tall as three apples, the Smurfs embody teamwork, loyalty, optimism, joy, humor, and respect for nature. They may not be easy to distinguish at first glance, but each Smurf has its own uniqueness and personality. The Smurfs live in a village filled with mushroom-shaped houses, hidden deep within a magical forest where few dare to venture. Making their debut in Johan and Peewit’s comic book in 1958, these little blue characters created by Belgian artist Peyo (Pierre Culliford) have been spreading happiness and entertaining families worldwide for several generations. The new animated series “The Smurfs” (2021) airs globally on Nickelodeon and Netflix, as well as on TF1 in France. A new Smurfs movie, produced and distributed by Paramount Animation, with Rihanna playing the role of Smurfette, has recently been announced with a worldwide theatrical release scheduled for February 2025.
