Have you ever put much thought behind what your pet(s) do when you are gone for the day? The Secret Life of Pets will take you on an adventure with some very lovable fur babies. This title is from the fifth collaboration of Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures, the humans behind the Despicable Me franchise.
The Secret Life of Pets came out on digital HD November 22 and will be out on 4K ultra HD, Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD, and on-demand December 6, 2016. The 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital HD versions feature nearly an hour of bonus content, including three hilarious mini-movies: the all-new Norman Television and Weenie PLUS Mower Minions. We went as a family to see it in the theater this summer and were excited to have a copy now for viewing at home.
Max (Louis C.K) is a terrier living with a young woman named Katie (Ellie Kemper). They are living in perfect harmony until Duke (Eric Stonestreet), a big, fluffy, brown mutt comes home with Katie one day. While these two fellas are out with their dog walker the next day, they get in a tussle and accidentally get left behind. Max and Duke find themselves shortly after in the sewers of New York City and unwelcome by the Flushed Pets Gang. This gang is made up of abandoned pets who are led by Snowball (Kevin Hart), a crazy white bunny. Max and Duke must quickly put aside their differences to have any chance of making it back to Katie. Thankfully their friends back home are looking out for Max and Duke and try to help them return home safely.
The Secret Life of Pets is a great family movie, regardless if pet owners or not. This movie is rated PG for threats of bodily harm and death that may be scary for some young viewers.
