I received an e-mail last month asking if I would like to review flowers. Definitely! It’s not very often I receive cut flowers so this was a treat. The company who sent me this bouquet is named The Bouqs. Their flowers are shipped directly from partner farms in Ecuador or California and straight to your door. The only other people who handle the flowers are the custom agents allowing shipments through. To add to their uniqueness, the flowers from Ecuador are grown on the side of an active volcano!
The bouquets or “bouqs” will arrive at your door within four days. That’s pretty quick! Cold storage is used if coming from Ecuador and not at all if from California. Every arrangement has a base price of $40, regardless of the time of year or type of flower. The flowers used by The Bouqs are not cut until you order.
When you place your order online, you select the delivery date and can customize a message. I selected the Dawn bouquet from the Volcano Collection. Fed Ex brought the box to my door, which required a signature.
Inside the top of the box is a message and the “bouq” is protected with a piece of cardboard to prevent it from getting smashed.
General care instructions are printed on the side of the box.
I snipped the plastic straps that hold the bouquet firmly in place, The flowers were wrapped in brown paper,plastic, and a piece of corrugated paper around the blooms to keep them all protected.
Here they are. Very pretty! Dawn includes premium orange roses. I received the Original, one dozen. The Bouqs always ship 10-15% extra blooms with all orders just in case anything would happen during delivery. Instead of the 12 blooms as advertised with the Original, I received 15 in my order. 
Then you need to prep a new home for your flowers with the provided plant food and simply add water.
Cut approximately 1″ off the base of the stems so the tips are fresh and optimal to take in the moisture and food.
Then arrange your flowers as you desire and enjoy!
