Tastefully Simple Triple the Fun Giveaway

Summer is in full swing with cookouts, fireworks, time spent at the lake, and it wouldn’t be complete without a slushy drink to help beat the heat.  Tastefully Simple’s Triple the Fun™ is a great way to enjoy and relax on these warm days or frankly any time of year.  The large tropical blue gift bag (pictured above) contains a set of three drink mixes.

Triple the Fun™ includes  Juicy Watermelon™ Margarita Mix (mini), Lovin’ Lemon Slush™ Drink Mix (mini), and Mango Breeze™ Margarita Mix (mini).  Each drink mix serves four.   Tastefully Simple gave me a marvelous idea to celebrate Independence Day or any other gatherings we might enjoy this month by featuring their Patriotic Juicy Margaritas.   This recipe calls for prepared Lovin’ Lemon Slush™ Drink Mix (mini), prepared Juicy Watermelon™ Margarita Mix, and about four drops of blue food coloring.  Mango Breeze™ Margarita Mix (mini) will have to sit this one out and join the event solo or be saved for another occasion.

To prepare the drink mixes, first, remove the powder packets from inside and then rinse the plastic buckets with warm water before using.  The Lovin’ Lemon Slush™ Drink Mix is reconstituted with 6 oz. vodka and approximately 3 cups water.  

The Juicy Watermelon™ Margarita Mix is combined with 6 oz. tequila and 3 cups water.  Allow them to freeze overnight (12-14 hours).  Rum can be used instead of tequila or vodka.

Then during the next day, scoop out half of the prepared Lovin’ Lemon Slush™ Drink Mix into a small bowl.  Add enough blue food coloring to the slush in the small in the small bowl to make it a vibrant blue.  Stir to combine the drink mix and food coloring.

In a margarita glass, wine glass, or other tall glass, layer the blue slush mix, white Lovin’ Lemon Slush™, and then top it off with the prepared Juicy Watermelon™ Margarita Mix.  The recipe said it served 18, but I must have been very generous or had large glasses because I only was able to make eight margaritas. 😉

If you would prefer not to use alcohol, the drink mixes can be reconstituted with just chilled water or sparkling water and served over ice, but they should not be frozen or you will be left with a block of ice instead of slush.   Enjoy some refreshing, fruity fun with Tastefully Simple’s Triple the Fun™.  This product sells through Independent Consultants for $19.95.  It comes with the gift bag and the three mini mixes.
