Spring has officially arrived, at least by the date on our calendars. It may not yet be so visible outside like here in Minnesota and other northern climates, but don’t let that detour you from trying a refreshing chilled drink mix. Recently I enjoyed Fuzzy Navel™ Slush Mix from the Tastefully Simple Spring-Summer 2014 product line.
Disclosure: I was compensated financially and with free product for this review. The thoughts and feelings expressed are my own in this post.
Tastefully Simple Fuzzy Navel™ Slush Drink Mix allows you to make tasty beverages for entertaining or to even enjoy as a special treat at home with minimal effort. This drink is made simply with the addition of peach schnapps and water. It comes in a plastic bucket with a lid and features an easy to transport handle. Inside the bucket, you will find a foil sealed pouch containing the drink mix.
After the bucket has been emptied and cleaned with warm water, the mix can be added.
Then add schnapps and about 6 cups of water (adding enough to fill about 1/2″ from rim). Stir well to dissolve the powder and mix. Vodka, rum, or tequila may be used instead of peach schnapps.
Place the plastic container with lid on in the freezer for 12-14 hours.
The instructions say to stir, but I went over 14 hours and was only able to scoop into glasses and then consume. It was cool, refreshing, and fruity.
Tastefully Simple Fuzzy Navel™ Drink Mix makes about 8 (8 oz.) servings. You can also make a non-alcoholic version by omitting the alcohol and pouring a mixture of drink mix and water over ice and not freezing. Tastefully Simple also has a recipe called Creamy Orange Dream to try with prepared Fuzzy Navel™ Drink Mix and cream. Doesn’t that sound divine? Tastefully Simple Fuzzy Navel™ Drink Mix retails now for $7.99 and is available until September 8, 2014.
