I was sent their Montmorency Cherries to sample. Montmorency Cherries were brought to the U.S. by early French Settlers.
Cherries Dipped in Greek Yogurt – the cherries are harvested at their peak and then dried. The fruit is then dipped in Greek Yogurt. They were sweet with a hint of tartness and very satisfying.
Chili Lime Cherries – dried Montmorency Cherries are seasoned with all-natural Tajin®, which is a blend of premium chilies, lime juice, and sea salt. This flavor had a unique blend of salty, zesty and tart. My husband and I personally weren’t huge fans of this flavor.
Cherries Dipped in Dark Chocolate – dried cherries are dipped in premium dark chocolate that is made from 70% cocoa. The chocolate provides added iron and magnesium. The combination was very enjoyable.
Montmorency Dried Cherries – cherries picked at their peak that are gently dried. They can be eaten alone as a snack, add to cereal, yogurt, trail mixes, salads, or your favorite baked goods.
All of the cherry assortments start off with tart Montmorency Cherries, cane sugar, and sunflower oil with the additions of dark chocolate, Greek Yogurt, or the Tajin® seasoning, depending on variety.
Montmorency Cherries contain beta carotene, vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, iron, and fiber. Stoneridge Orchards packages these varieties of Montmorency Cherries in handy 5 oz. resealable bags. Many recipes for their products and where you can buy are provided on the company website too.
