MOVIE NIGHTS JUST GOT EVEN BETTER!
Starlight Cinema is gearing up for its second season of outdoor movie fun at Ojibway Park. The event is more than a movie in a park, it is an experience to bring families in the community together and create lifelong memories. The Starlight Cinema movie experience begins with “Red Carpet” activities and entertainment that are themed with the movie from 7-9pm. At dusk the movie is played on a 40 ft inflatable movie screen beneath the starlit sky. There is a great lineup of movies and fun themed activities planned for the summer. Each of the events is hosted by local personalities that leads the entertainment in front of the big screen.
Entertainment includes hula hoop and trivia contests for prizes and other themed entertainment including a Minion costume contest, snake and reptile show, dance performances and more. Red Carpet Activities include a photo station on the red carpet, face painting, science demonstrations, craft activities, bounce house plus some activities that are themed with the movie such as Post It Art, LEGO Building activity and Troll hairstyles. You will even have a chance to paint a piano with Keys4Kids at select movies.
The generous support of businesses in the community allows the movie and activities to be FREE for everyone to enjoy. Honors go out to this year’s Red Carpet sponsors including Pepsi, HealthEast, Keller Williams Realty-Lisa Boe, Horton Orthodontics, River Valley Church, Rivertown Multimedia and The Connector.
Starlight Cinema has partnered with Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf to collect non-perishable food and donations at each of themovie events.
