“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Pull-Ups. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”
This week, I am excited to share that I will be a Pull-Ups® First Flush Ambassador and have been asked to share my potty training experiences. My son started potty training this past fall and recently turned three. We are having some completely dry days now. My girls started each when they were about 18 months, but each child varies on when they feel ready.
With my little guy, we added Tinkle Targets to our potty training routine. He really likes their colorful images of cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. and I like that they can help little boys with their aim.
Books can be helpful too.
We have used Pull-Ups® training pants on our potty training journeys, which are for toddlers that are ready to begin the potty training process. They are easy for the child to pull up and down and are designed to look and fit more like underwear.
If you are thinking about potty training with your child or are in the mist of it and looking for resources, I encourage you to take a peek at Big Kid Academy via Pull-Ups website, Facebook page, and Twitter page. Through these links, you can ask questions and seek advice, celebrate potty training milestones, and have access to printable charts to keep track of your son or daughter’s First Flusher’s potty training accomplishments.
Since this is my third child, I am going on what I already know and using rewards mentioned on the Pull-Ups® website. I meet with a parent group as part of my son’s early childhood classes weekly that are a great resource for me too.
Potty training can be challenging and messy, but highly rewarding at the same time. It’s a big step in independence for children. I look forward to sharing more about Pull-Ups® with you in the future.
