SOL REPUBLIC Relays  In honor of the recent Mother’s Day and the soon approaching Father’s Day, I was given the opportunity to try out SOL REPUBLIC Relays.  Relays are great for moms and dads on the go.  Their patent-pending FreeFlex™ design allows for ease when putting in the ear and they won’t fall out.  They also provide amazing sound for the active parent.

I allowed my spouse to be in the pilot seat with Relays.  My spouse took on a career change at the start of the year, which he loves, but does face many miles behind the wheel with it.  He enjoys listening to music on his phone, but needs the flexibility to yet answer calls.  SOL REPUBLIC Relays fulfill his needed functions. SOL REPUBLIC Relays There are four different sizes of ear-tips and a storage bag included.  My husband was pleasantly surprised to see their smallest size.  He was using headphones that came with his phone and the ear-tips were not quite small enough for comfort. SOL REPUBLIC Relays

SOL REPUBLIC Relays SOL REPUBLIC Relays are sweat and water-resistant.  Please note that this does not mean that you can use them in the pool, bath, or shower.  Relays are also very light and keep a low profile while in the ear. SOL REPUBLIC RelaysRelays have a clip to provide additional security for the cable when attached to your clothing and the clip is also removable.  The remote (at right) provides several functions for compatible products.  Please note the SOL REPUBLIC Relays were made for the iPod, iPhone, and iPad.

Functions available with SOL REPUBLIC Relays:

For Compatible Products – 

During Music Playback

  • Click the play button once to pause and click again to resume playback while playing music

During Phone Calls

  • Click the play button once to answer incoming call, click once again to end the call during phone calls

For Compatible Apple Products – 

  • During Music Playback
  • Click the play button twice quickly to track forward
  • Click play button three times quickly to track backward
  • Press top button to increase volume*
  • Press button to decrease volume*

During Phone Calls

  • Press and hold down play button for about two seconds to decline an incoming call
  • Click play button twice to switch over to call waiting, click again to switch back to original call
  • Press top button to increase volume*
  • Press bottom button to decrease volume*

Many devices can use Relays, but a few functions listed above with the asterisks are made for iPod, iPhone, and iPad models only.     I would like to win these for my dad. My mom is always telling him to turn the volume down on his ipad (he has had this for over a year and he still doesn’t quite understand how to use it) these sol republics would help both my parents.
