Skinny Teatox is all-natural detox tea to promote good health and weight loss. Benefits may include: weight loss, boosted metabolism, increased energy levels, and/or suppressed appetite. This product should be used in conjunction with a good diet and exercise routine.
I received this product two weeks ago, but was sick with an icky cold the first week and have only been using Skinny Teatox for six days. The product comes with a daytime and evening tea blend. Ingredients in the blends include: tea leaves, senna leaf, ginseng, chrysanthemum, cinnamon bark, cloves, rhubarb, ginger, and more.
The daytime tea is a loose leaf tea. 1 teaspoon is to be measured into a tea ball, a cup of hot water that is later strained, or like I received for this review, a silicone tea infuser. This blend should be steeped for 2-4 minutes. The daytime tea should be used in the morning or afternoon. It increases metabolism, helps with appetite suppression, and provides a steady supply of energy.
The evening tea comes bagged. The instructions say to use every other day starting on day 1. This blend has Alexandrian Senna leaf. This plant is noted for a high amount of sennocides, which may have a mild laxative effect and benefit the body by cleansing and detoxifying the digestive system, which will likely occur the next morning. It should be steeped in hot water for 2-4 minutes. This blend does not contain caffeine.
With the evening tea having a laxative effect, the literature says to be prepared 3-10 hours after taking it and planning to go to the toilet. If the evening tea is too much for you in regard to the laxative effect, the instructions say you should stop using it. With taking Skinny Teatox, it is important to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water and occasionally coconut water or another electrolyte enriched beverage.
Now like I said earlier, I have been using this product less than a week. With my fluctuating work schedule, I was not daring enough to try the evening tea until last night. I will have to try it in the future with infusing for just a short time or skip this part all together. I woke up a few times with gas pains during the night that I usually don’t experience – not pleasant.
I would have to say that both blends are very tolerable in taste. I had not used a silicone strawberry infuser before and found that some tea leaves or stems do come out of the holes when infusing and are left behind in the cup. I have been taking it easy with finally getting over an illness and haven’t seen weight loss of more than a few pounds, which can be normal fluctuations from day to day. I will say my tummy seems a bit more calm and less bloated since using Skinny Teatox. Maybe a more notable weight loss will come after continued use.
