Yesterday, my girls and I used a commercially ready brownie mix for a typical 9″x13″ pan. I added 5 minutes to the baking time at the recommended temperature on the box. It turned out soft and chewy, just how I like it.
I then melted 1 1/2 c. chocolate chips at 30 second intervals in a microwave safe bowl until completely melted and added 1/2 c. peanut butter (unfortunately only had crunchy PB in my home), 1 1/2 c. crispy rice cereal, and 1 c. marshmallow cream to the bowl. I applied it over the brownie heart and served.
