My children are all under the age of 15 so they missed the original release of these fun-loving movies featuring Shrek. My husband and I got to have a Shrek marathon last weekend with our children and expose them to the magic of Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and all of the fairy tale characters from the kingdom of Far Far Away. The Shrek 4-Movie Anniversary Collection came on digital HD May 16th and also on Blu-ray and DVD on June 7th.
Fox Home Entertainment sent us a wonderful box of goodies to take us back to where it all began – Shrek’s swamp! We received swampcorn (popcorn that tasted like green apple), Swamp Talk Mugs, Pin the Tail on Donkey, figurines, ogre ear headbands, Gingy cookie cutters with a recipe to make them, and green face paint to get our ogre face on.
The kids tried their luck and pinning the tail on Donkey as a break from our several hours of fun.
Unfortunately, last weekend was warm. I didnt’ feel like using the stove much and so we have to make Gingy yet. The popcorn was delicious and the mugs were a treat coming out of the freezer with ice and soda as we enjoyed this wonderful collection.
