The Bubble Turbine comes with two interchangeable bubble wands. You can create large bubbles or many small bubbles. It is a battery operated bubble machine (takes 2 AA batteries that are not included), but does come with a bottle of solution.
Simply place some of the solution into the tray that is provided and dip to coat the entire wand.

We tried air in the balloons since we were indoors and did not have access then to a water hose. The balloon is placed on Tie-Not filler.
Wrap balloon around Tie-Not tool once and slide end through the slot.
Gently pull balloon off Tie-Not tool and…

My children started off with some daytime fun by just pulling the trigger on the Hi-Beam Illuminator. The Illuminator requires 4 AAA batteries that are not included. It does come with two packs of glow in the dark solution.
Now onto the glow in the dark fun. The kit comes with two sets of Glow Fusion Bubble Solution and an Activator A and an Activator B.
You add all of Activator A to the bubble solution and then add all of Activator B to the same bottle. There is a plastic wand that is included to gently stir the solution, which is recommended to do for one minute. Do Not Shake! The solution does thicken.
We then took our solution out on the deck to try out in the Hi-Beam Illuminator. You want to use in a completely dark outdoor area. You can also use the plastic wand to blow glowing bubbles. I tried this and didn’t notice much of a glow to the bubbles.
Here is the glowing solution before being screwed into the Hi-Beam Illuminator.
The Hi-Beam Illuminator took a while to become primed and to then produce bubbles, but the blue light did a great job creating bubbles that were unique and fun to watch. The children had fun playing with them.
Here is my oldest trying to catch bubbles.
She is five and really enjoyed the night scene from the glowing bubbles.
This picture doesn’t do it justice, but when the solution lands on your skin or clothing, it reminds me of how Giselle was portrayed in the movie “Enchanted”. This would be near the beginning when she goes from being a cartoon character and becomes human with these little magical dots that appear on her skin and clothing.
I will be washing the clothes tomorrow and check to make sure the solution comes out. We wore old pajamas tonight, just in case the solution does not come out of everything. The Glow Fusion Bubble Solution is labeled as safe and non-toxic. It did come off the skin easily with soap and warm water.
The bubbles will only glow for the first 20 minutes after they have been mixed together with the Glow Fusion. The instructions do warn that Glow Fusion Solution may damage plastic surfaces and plastic objects. Immediately remove Glow Fusion Solution with a damp towel if exposed to any type of plastic.
I think the Hi-Beam Illuminator and Glow Fusion Solution create a fun, unique experience. I could see this being great for sleepovers or for camping.

3/28/12 update: The Glow Fusion is still able to create a glow when stirred now 24 hours after it was mixed and the orange spots that were visible in the clothing yet this morning came out perfectly. 🙂
