I had received a wonderful box with three one pound packages of whole grain pasta from Mara’s Pasta to recently review. 
I loved reading the story of inspiration for Mara’s Pasta. The founder’s daughter, Mara, was in love with pasta. He was concerned that she was just getting carbohydrates and not much nutrition. Other whole wheat pastas were found to be bland or cooked up gummy/gritty.
Brendan McEntee, the founder, had experience creating specialty flour for Artisan Baking. He worked with family farmers he was already in touch with to create a nutritious and delicious wheat for great pasta. The wheat is made into a flour blend named Maragrain and is trademarked. It gives Mara’s Pasta it’s unique flavor. It is made from non-GMO wheat.
I had received the Rotini, Spaghetti, and Fetuccine for review. The pasta is packaged in sealed plastic inside each box to preserve freshness.
Mara’s Pasta takes on average 7-10 minutes in boiling salted water to cook. It varies upon type of pasta and personal preference.

Here is the Mara’s Pasta Rotini. I make this for my family often when we have pasta and it is called goulash – pasta, vegetables, ground beef, shredded cheese and Parmesan cheese on top. There are also many recipes to try on Mara’s Pasta website. 
We tried the Mara’s Pasta Spaghetti for a simple spaghetti with meat sauce.
Both meals were found to be a hit among all four of my family members (spouse and three kiddos). They enjoyed the taste and liked how it held it’s shape and texture after preparing. I have to decide yet how I will prepare Mara’s Pasta Fettuccine.
