I remember watching Looney Tunes and the antics of Tazmanian Devil, Sylvester, Wile E. Coyote, and others on Saturday morning cartoons. Maybe that statement dates me a bit, but they remain an iconic cartoon series from my childhood.
Now there is a fun phonics program for kids that features these lively characters called Looney Tunes ClickN Read Phonics. It is geared for children entering kindergarten to 3rd grade, but can be used by children as young as 3.
My daughters are 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 and have been enjoying the opportunity to review this program. My oldest will be entering kindergarten this fall so it is great to try whatever we can to have her where she needs to be upon entrance or even excel in some areas. My 3 1/2-year-old loves to watch the video clips and has been verbally answering the friendly robot featured in this program as my oldest uses the keyboard and mouse.
I like that Looney Tunes Phonics can be done all online. There is no need to purchase workbooks, print off a ton of worksheets, or rely on frequently popping in a CD. My children don’t have to use the same computer every time they are allowed to use this program.
Looney Tunes ClickN Read Phonics has a large assortment of activities to keep your child from becoming bored and the cartoon clips have certainly helped in keeping my daughters engaged. This program is colorful, friendly, and certainly entertaining. I recommend you check this program out yourselves at the Looney Tunes Phonics website, Facebook,orTwitter.
