Pups Alone was recently released in theaters and is now out on digital, demand, and DVD. This family-friendly film features the voices of Jerry O’Connell, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Rob Schneider, and Danny Trejo. Dolph Lundgren, Tyler Hollinger, Isador Swann, Nicholas Turturro are in the film with a special appearance by Eric Roberts. This film also features Keith David, and Malcolm McDowell.
While watching this film, I thought of a similar movie title and remembered the holiday hijinks. Some similarities are noted with Pups Alone.
In this title, a scientist has developed a collar that allows dogs to communicate with humans. Unfortunately, it is in the prototype stage and he is stuck on how to complete the project.
This scientist starts work for a pet company and his new co-worker hires two thieves to break into his house while on a company ski trip with the hopes of them stealing the prototype. The dogs of the neighborhood get word of the tentative theft and set up traps and tricks to save the scientist’s home and the others on the block.
