I ran across an older post from Filth Wizardry for “Milk Jug Trick Or Treat Pumpkin Pots”. I thought I’d give it a try with the girls a few days ago.
The milk jugs were rinsed out one final time before using. I took an exacto knife and cut out a panel from the back.

Layne concentrating hard…
I am not sure what Jayden found funny at this particular moment
Jayden thinking that blowing on the paint would speed up the process
Layne after painting
Jayden with painted tips to her hair. Yes, she has a bloody nose. We painted and then went out for a walk to pass the time as the milk jugs dried. She was skipping along on the tar road and fell.
A few images of pumpkins with lights in them. I painted a cat for Layne and butterfly for Jayden.
Although the girls only got to paint the pumpkins orange, they had a blast afterward with seeing the lights in them. The original post of Filth Wizardry referred to these pumpkins as a way to hold candy. I think I made these too shallow and cut too much off the back for them to serve that purpose.
