Poppy Drops – Alternative to Ear Piercing

I have pierced ears, but thought I’d let my daughters decide if and when they would like to have their ears pierced.  I recently reviewed Poppy Drops in exchange for an honest review.  They are a pain-free, temporary option to ear piercing.

Poppy Drops were created to let the founder’s daughter look more “grown up” without the complications and care of permanent piercing.  They are temporary tattoos made from food-grade vegetable dyes.  Poppy Drops are made in the U.S.A., FDA approved, and Certified by the Consumer Product Safety Commission for use by children.

I was sent the Classic Collection of Poppy Drops to review.  Each set of the temporary earrings retails for $7.95.  To use, simply select the design you want to use and cut it out of the enclosed sheet.  Remove the plastic sheet and lay face down on the skin.

You can then use a wet cloth or purchase an applicator through Poppy Drops.  Moisten the back of the sheet until image transfers to the skin (about 10-15 seconds).  You will want the wet cloth to make the backing damp, not overly saturated.  Then slide off the paper backing and let dry.

If Poppy Drops want to be removed before coming off with normal wear, apply baby oil or rubbing alcohol to remove.IMG_3022

My six-year-old has loved these.  My four-year-old had not had interest in them yet.  We just applied the second set to my oldest today and the first set was on two weeks so we rubbed the images with alcohol this morning before applying the second set that is in these images.

Beyond the earring collection, Poppy Drops are also available as lady-like tattoos, packaged sets, and tattoo nail art.  There is a small selection to the lady-like tattoos, but I thought I would even enjoy these without the commitment of a permanent one!  My daughter is excited to look “grown up” and wear Poppy Drops while in her cousin’s wedding as a flower girl next month.
