Back to school sales have already begun. Now is the time to shop for classroom essentials, tools, and electronics. Pilot had sent me a collection of their back to school essentials – pens and highlighters for an honest review. FriXion Family
FriXion allows you to write smooth and erases clean. It has a revolutionary ink that disappears with erasing friction. Now anyone can write and make the ‘oops’ disappear with these erasable pens and highlighters.
The FriXion Product line includes: FriXion Ball, FriXion Point, FriXion Clicker, and FriXion Light Highlighters.
The FriXion Clicker is a retractable pen and has the erasable FriXion gel ink. The eraser is at the top of the pen and the tip is retractable by pressing the side clip down. It is refillable and comes in 8 colors. They are not recommended for use on legal or official documents. The ink is thermo-sensitive. I thought the FriXion Clicker wrote smoothly and took little effort to remove my word.

FriXion Light highlighters have a fluorescent ink that highlights and erases without causing damage. They are available in a chisel tip and in 8 colors.
Suggested price of $4.57 for a 3 pack. There are also Pink Ribbon FriXion Erasable highlighters available. 10% of gross proceeds go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Dr. Grip Family
Dr. Grip was introduced in 1995. It has a great design and lasting comfort to the handler. Dr. Grip Brights, which I was sent, is a retractable ball point pen and is refillable. It was great to write with this pen. It is a little thicker than other pens, but very comfortable to handle. The suggested retail is $9.77 each.
Dr. Grip has been commended for Ease-of-Use by the Arthitis Foundation and in a study by Georgia Tech, was proven to be twice as comfortable as traditional ball point pens.

Acroball Family
This pen features its hybrid ink with the vibrant color of gel ink, but the ability to dry quickly. It also features the water-resistance of ball point ink. I was sent the Acroball Pure White, which has color accents on the barrel, like pictured below. Suggested retail of $4.60 per two pack and they are refillable. Acroball Pure White pens have a textured grip barrel that provides great control.

B2P Family
Bottle-2-Pen (B2P) is the world’s first line of pens made from 89% post-consumer recycled bottles. Approximately 2.5 million plastic bottle enter landfills every hour in the United States.
The barrel of the pen looks a bit like a plastic bottle and provides smooth writing. B2P pens are retractable and refillable. They have a fine gel ink and have a suggested retail of $6.99 for a three pack.

G2 Family
This pen is comfortable and writes twice as long as other gel ink pens. G2 comes in 14 vibrant colors and 4 point sizes. G2 Fashion is available in 5 different barrel colors with black ink. A Breast Cancer Awareness G2 is also available.

This pen has a liquid ink formula that keeps consistently flowing from the first word to the last. It has an ink feed system for smooth, skip-free writing and visible ink supply. It is the no. 1 selling rolling ball pen in America.
