An unexpected passing or the decision to euthanize a family pet is extremely difficult. Then there is also the need to question what to do with a loved one’s remains after they pass. If you plan to have a burial at home or a special location, Paw Pods give you peace of mind in laying your friend to its final resting place.
The creator of Paw Pods developed this product after he had his pet euthanized and didn’t realize it would be sent home in a plastic bag. I worked in a veterinary clinic for eight years and yes, it was common practice to send a pet home in a plastic bag unless a special blanket or other item was provided by the owner to place the pet in after.
Paw Pods are biodegradable, green caskets for pets. They are made from a mixture of rice husks, corn starch, and sustainable bamboo. This combination gives the unit a light cream or “golden” color, which is neutral and attractive. They degrade in 3-5 years after being introduced to the environment.
To help you or other loved ones deal with the loss and feelings that come with grief, Paw Pods gives you what I would term a “blank canvas” to project your thoughts and feelings onto. Children can draw with markers on Paw Pods before burial or place stickers or paint on it to celebrate the pet.
The lid can be secured easily with four “C” shaped clamps that slid onto an unedged area located on both of the long sides.
A sweet little sympathy card and wildflower seeds are included with your Paw Pod.
Paw Pods come in different sizes. They go from Fish Pod up to Large Paw Pod (for medium size dogs), which range from $9.99-149.99. A Classic and Heart Shape Urn are also available through Paw Pods. Please check out Paw Pods to learn more.
