I am always open to natural beauty products and recently sampled Ora’s Amazing Herbal. I was sent the following: All Natural Body Powder in Blissful Earth, All Natural Body Powder in Vanilla, Touchy Skin Salve, and Vanilla Lip Balm.
The two body powders are to balance pH and sooth irritated skin. The All Natural Body Powder in Vanilla gets its scent from pure organic raw vanilla bean powder. The All Natural Body Powder in Blissful Earth is scented with vetiver, lavender, and clary sage.
I had not heard of vetiver before and had to do a little research. Vetiver is a tall grass that grows in the volcanic areas of Haiti and India. The essential oil that comes from this plant is often used in fragrances and after shave. Vetiver oil is also noted for its antiseptic and muscle-relaxing qualities when taken orally. In Ora’s Amazing Herbal All Natural Body Powder, it is used topically to heal redness, skin irritation, and also inflammation on sensitive or oily skin. The body powders can be used as a natural deodorant or shoe powder too. There is also an unscented body powder available.
Both of Ora’s Amazing Herbal powders are white with just a hint of graininess in its texture. The powders seem to absorb quickly and the scent is very light. A big plus is that they are talc free and are also grain free.
The Touchy Skin Salve comes in a 1 oz. glass jar for $8.99. This was Ora’s Amazing Herbal starter product. It was designed to treat Ora’s daughter’s eczema and was noted to work well with cuts, burns, dry skin, and to work as a diaper cream and massage salve for babies. It contains castor oil that functions as a lubricant, barrier to lock in moisture, and to soften the skin. Licorice root is used in the salve and works as an anti-inflammatory. Touchy Skin Salve is water free and unscented.
The winter has been harsh on my skin and so I have enjoyed applying Ora’s Amazing Herbal Touchy Skin Salve to my hands and should really work on my heels more with this product. I have found that some lotions sting when skin is dry and cracked. This product does not cause any ouch. It goes on with a fairly thin layer and leaves a sheen to the skin until it is absorbed.
There are also eight flavors of lip balm available with the same herbal infused oil as the salve. I was sent the Vanilla Lip Balm. It is handcrafted with raw, organic ground vanilla beans and also contains essential oil of vanilla. It has a light scent and seems to work well with locking in moisture.
