I have enjoyed Train over the years and would like to share the upcoming release of their 7th album, Bulletproof Picasso, which is set for September 16th. The album’s first single, “Angel in Blue Jeans has been climbing the charts as the Top 15 of Triple A and Adult Top 40 radio in just a month. The video features Danny Trejo who is credited with numerous rolls and Hannah Simone from the TV show “New Girl”. Other songs on the new album include the combustible title track, “Bulletproof Picasso,” “Cadillac, Cadillac,” “Just A Memory,” “Give It All,” and “The Bridge,” among others (full 12-song track listing below).
Bulletproof Picasso was produced by Butch Walker, who has worked on their previous albums and features the unique style of frontman-singer/songwriter Pat Monahan. This album features the classic sounds of Train that fans new and old would appreciate, a ballad that I think will be touching to parents of “Don’t Grow Up So Fast, and even a bit of a melodic Western theme with “Angel in Blue Jeans”.
“I’ve always wanted to emotionally connect with people through the songs,” says Monahan. “But I also want to get into people’s lives with this album. We’re very excited about Bulletproof Picasso and we’re looking forward to performing some of the new songs for all our fans.”
Train has sold more than ten million albums worldwide, thirty million tracks worldwide, with numerous platinum/gold citations on their mantle, 3 Grammy Awards, 2 Billboard Music Awards and dozens of other honors and nominations.
