MY SWEET MONSTER came out on Digital, On Demand, and DVD on April 12 from Lionsgate. It features the voice talents of Pauly Shore (Bio-Dome, Encino Man), Haylie Duff (Blending Christmas, Napoleon Dynamite) and Jon Heder (Blades of Glory, Napoleon Dynamite).
Princess Barbara is to be forced into marriage with Bundy, a not-so-nice postman when it is the day of celebration for her 16th birthday. She flees the kingdom and meets Bogey, a semi-human beast who is in charge of taking care of the wilderness. Bundy blackmails the king and uses him for his life-giving elixir called Spark to build an operational robot army. Bogey, Barbara, and a talking rabbit named Bundy try their best to stop Bundy.
My 11-year-old previewed this movie with me. He thought it was good. He did catch it being a little off on syncing the voices with the movement of the characters’ mouths. This film is 98 minutes and is rated PG for action, peril, and some thematic elements.
