In honor of the recently released Mr. Peabody and Sherman on Blu-ray and DVD, we hosted a time period party this past weekend. We were asked to feature the French Revolution (#PeabodyFrenchRevolution). I was having a hard time finding party ideas on Pinterest to showcase this time period, but thankfully, Fox Home Entertainment provided me with some fun ideas.
I forgot about taking pics during the party so here are my three children after with three corner hats that were common from the era. We used scrapbook paper and added a couple colorful feathers.

Marie Antoinette was Queen of France in the late 1700’s. She was quite a trendsetter, but not always nice ruler to her people. She is featured in Mr. Peabody and Sherman with an amazing appetite for cake and so we decorated cupcakes at the party.

We also received some very fun swag.
Mr. Peabody glasses and bow tie
Plush Mr. Peabody and Mr. Peabody and Sherman lunch box exclusively available at Best BuyAnd a Sherman Pop! Animation figure
This doesn’t go with the French Revolution, but with King Tut in the movie, I thought it would be okay to play with some sand art and we took time to view the movie. 🙂
Disclosure: I received movie themed swag and a Michael’s gift card to purchase supplies for this event. No other compensation was received.
