Sorry I haven’t posted lately. I had never had a garage sale and a kind friend allowed me bring my items to a sale she and her mom were having. I did not realize all the time involved in sorting, pricing, and so forth! Then to top it off. The graphics card went bad in the computer I have been primarily using and so that has changed my computer usage too.
I had seen a cute project featured on I Like Big Bows a while back and wanted to try my own hand at the project. The tutorial is from Less Than Perfect Life Of Bliss. The owl bodies are 2 1/2″ in height. I had to eye up the sizes for the other pieces and with to fit across alligator clips. I made one for each of my daughters and the other for my niece, who is visiting for the holiday weekend. The owls are made of felt.

The girls had already gone to bed when I finished so I will have to see if any of them will model them for me tomorrow (guess it is after midnight so later today).
Here are a few pics from the other day~

Had to share this one. My father is normally very serious, but he did his own version of modeling a hair clip. Note the placement on his ear. |
On I Like Big Bows, there was also a tutorial for a loopy hair bow at Sweet and Sassy. I had to try this one out this weekend too. Here is what I created with 3/8″ gross grain ribbon in purple and white from Gifts International, who had what I thought were great prices. I just added a simple button on top. I have to clean up the strand left from the hot glue yet shown in this picture.
