Mommy’s Bliss Sweet Slumber Review

February 17, 2013 by Karen

More and more research is coming out on the importance of a restful night’s sleep.  Not only is it important in adults, but also infants.  Infants can become cranky and fussy, leading for an awful day for their caretakers.   Mommy’s Bliss, makers of the number one selling natural colic remedy in the United States, has recently released the Sweet Slumber line of bedtime routine products for infants.

Products in this new lineup are:  3-in-1 Sweet Slumber Baby Wash, Sweet Slumber Massage Cream, and Sweet Slumber Mist.  All three contain essential oils, which are noted to assist with relaxation and sleep, like English Lavender Oil, German Chamomile Extract, and Ylang Ylang Flower Oil, and other natural ingredients.  This line is 100% vegetarian and vegan and even the packaging is 100% recycled with post-consumer resin.  These products are noted as being gentle enough for daily use, all are hypoallergenic, and do not contain artificial fragrances, gluten, soy, alcohol, sulfates, phthalates, or parabens.

Mommy’s Bliss Sweet Slumber Baby Wash

The Sweet Slumber Baby Wash combines the benefits of a body wash, shampoo and bubble bath in one convenient bottle, allowing for an easy and soothing bath time before bed. This tear free formula contains no drying agents and won’t irritate sensitive skin. Retailing for $7.99 for an 11.75 fl. oz. bottle.

For best results, wet baby’s hair and body with warm water and apply Mommy’s Bliss Sweet Slumber Baby Wash with hands or washcloth and rinse. or pour a small amount into running water for a bubble bath.  I used this product to create a bubble bath for my son, who is two.  It wasn’t super sudsy, but it didn’t dry out my son’s skin and had a pleasant scent.

Mommy’s Bliss Sweet Slumber Massage Cream

The Sweet Slumber Massage Cream is a gentle, moisturizing cream used to relax your child while nourishing their delicate skin.  Retailing for $6.99 for an 8.25 fl. oz. bottle.

I thought the massage cream had a gentle scent and was non-greasy.  Absorption into the skin was fairly quick.  My spouse commented how soft my hands were after applying it onto my son’s skin.

Mommy’s Bliss Sweet Slumber Mist

A peaceful and soothing bedroom is sometimes just what your little one needs to fall asleep smoothly. The Sweet Slumber Mist creates a calm and familiar bedroom environment that prepares your child for a relaxing and easy sleep. This gentle, calming bedroom mist is ideal for your baby’s blanket, pajamas and bed; all without containing any alcohol or artificial fragrances. Retailing for $5.99 for a 3.25 fl. oz. bottle.

I thought this product was fun.  You can spritz it on many surfaces to help create a calm environment.  I sprayed it on the bed sheets and it seemed to dry quickly.  Sweet Slumber Mist had a wonderful, lingering herball scent.

Products of the Mommy’s Bliss Sweet Slumber line can be purchased exclusively at Walgreens.  To find a location near you, check out http://www.mommysbliss.com/buy/.
