Here is a sweet and very family friendly DVD recently released for the upcoming holiday season – Little House on the Prairie: A Merry Ingalls Christmas.  It was released on DVD (plus Digital) and Digital HD November 4th from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.  This title features two classic episodes, “Christmas at Plum Creek” and “A Christmas They Never Forgot”.  The episodes are restored to original broadcast length and are remastered for great sound and picture.  Little House on the Prairie:  A Merry Ingalls Christmas is being sold with a suggested prices of $9.98.

“Christmas at Plum Creek” aired in 1974.  It has the Ingalls family working hard to make Christmas wishes come true among their family member.  They are celebrating the first holiday in their new home.  Laura makes a huge personal sacrifice with her pony to buy her mother a stove while Pa works extra on a set of wagon wheels to buy Ma the same item.  Mary takes on a job with Ms. Whipple and Carrie uses her savings  to buy a special gift for Baby Jesus.

In “A Christmas They Never Forgot”, the Ingalls family is snowed in by a blizzard.  This episode originally aired in 1981 and now the Ingalls children are grown up.  Mary and Adam return for the holiday and the family remembers their favorite Christmases from the past.
