A while back, I shared a toy called ZhuZhu Pets. My kids still have fun with Madame Zhus. Now the same company that is behind ZhuZhu Pets, Cepia, has created The Happy’s. They are motorized, interactive pets. We received Maya, the poodle with some psychedelic fur, and a Chase & Play Ball. Your pet can chase the ball, play and perform a trick.
The Happy’s pets require 2 AAA batteries and The Happy’s Chase & Play Ball requires 3 AAA batteries. The treat bone that comes with the pet requires 3 LR44 batteries that are included. The Happy’s maneuver best on hard floors, like tile, wood, or laminate.
Each Happy’s pet comes with a treat that unlocks a different trick, like pounce, chase, wiggle, or beg. All treats work with any pet so the more treats equals more tricks for your pet. The light sensors are in the pet’s eyes. Bright sunlight can interfere with communication for The Happy’s pets.
The Happy’s have lots of energy and can be entertaining to watch in play. My children got a bit discouraged by Maya because it does take some skill to get her to respond to the treat bone even when pointed correctly at her. I have attached a YouTube video by TTPM that shows a similar issue with their pet.
The Happy’s are available at Toys ‘R Us, Walmart, Target, Justice, and Radio Shack and are recommended for children 3 and above. The Happy’s pets have a suggested price of $19.99 each and accessories are sold separately.
Disclosure: I received The Happy’s product from MomSelect and Cepia. No other compensation was received for this post. The thoughts and feelings expressed are my own.
