Maty’s Product Line

I was hoping to do four of the Maty’s products as reviews, but not one of my family members has been sick over the last month!  I am hoping to just tell you a bit about each of these products and will need to wait on a chance to use them for a review.  I have reviewed Maty’s All Natural Vapor Rub in a past post with my daughters as part of the review. 

For those of you who are hearing about Maty’s for the first time, Carolyn Harrington, co-founder to Maty’s, began her quest to find natural ways for her daughter to get and stay healthy. In 1996, her daughter, Maty, was born with severe heart defects and without a spleen! Maty had three complex surgeries to repair her heart by the age of five and continued to have medical issues, one being a weakened immune system. Carolyn went on to create a safe and effective line of products called Maty’s All-Natural product line.  All of Maty’s products are made in the USA.

Nightime Nasal Support

A proprietary blend of natural ingredients promotes a healthy nasal environment. It helps clear the nasal passage, which promotes healthy breathing. It is drug free and safe for all ages.

  • Weight: .5 oz.

Recommended Usage

Directions: Apply a small amount of ointment to the inside of both nostrils before bedtime. Work the ointment all around the nasal passage being careful not to insert more than halfway into your nasal cavity. For best results, use a cotton swab applicator or a tissue.
Cotton swabs not included.

Safety Tips: Do not use any applicator other than a cotton swab or tissue to apply nasal ointment.

 Ingredients are: Coconut Oil, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Lemon Balm, Cayenne Pepper, and Candelilla Wax.

I did apply the ointment to both ends of the cotton swab, one for each nostril.  It was a little different applying an ointment versus what I had used in the past, like saline sprays.  It had a very light scent that was pleasant and no sensation while applying it.  I did notice my nose start to run, almost feeling drippy after using it.  I can’t say that it gave me a better night’s sleep, but it did seem to open up my nasal passages after use and noticed this the last few hours at night before going to bed.

All Natural Kids Cough Syrup

Recommended Usage

Suggested Use: Shake well. Children 12 years and under, take 1/2 to 1 teaspoon every 4 hours. Store at room temperature or contents may crystallize. If contents thicken, place container in warm water.

I did just a taste test on Maty’s All Natural Kid’s Cough Syrup and I liked the flavor of banana and caramel.  If your child has a deterence for the taste of bananas, the flavor may be a setback.  I did have a bit of an aftertaste, I think due to the Zinc Gluconate.

I did a taste test with Maty’s All Natural Cough Syrup and thought it taste like cinnamon in a syrup consistency.  It did have the aftertaste again of the Zinc Gluconate in my opinion.
