Master Lock is working hard to help you stay safe through every life stage and season. Until Friday, January 31, anyone who tweets a response to the question, “When in your life has safety and security been most top of mind?” with the hashtag #MasterLockProtects will generate a $1 donation to the American Red Cross. Master Lock will donate up to initially $10,000. Then they will additionally fund up to another $10,000 based on consumer participation.
Participants in the Twitter sweeps are also eligible for one of 20 prizes. Each winner will receive a $100 Visa gift card and various Master Lock products.
Master Lock’s donation will support the urgent needs of the American Red Cross mission, whether it is responding to a disaster, collecting lifesaving blood, teaching skills to save a life, or assisting military members and their families during emergencies. This marks the second Twitter sweepstakes that Master Lock has hosted to benefit the American Red Cross. In 2014, Master Lock donated $16,000 to the organization.

The Master Lock Portable Key Safe has a list price of $40.48. This unit has a solid body, molded bumper and vinyl cover to prevent scratches. The cover helps prevent freezing and jamming too.
To initially use, the vinyl cover has to be lifted and then the clear (C) and open button have to be compressed. They are at the bottom and top of the push button front.
The packaging needs to be cut open to reveal the rest of the instructions.
Once the box is opened and packaging removed, the yellow recode tool or small flathead screwdriver can be used to turn the yellow slotted buttons behind the door. They are numbers 0 to 9 plus symbols # and *. The combination can be 1-12 characters in length. You can not use two of the same characters in the combination.
Then the lock can be closed by again pressing down the clear and open buttons on the front. To again open the lock, press the clear button, enter the combination characters in any order, and press the open button for the door to open fully.
The Master Lock Portable Push Button Lock box has a shackle that can be placed around a door knob or other object for hanging. A shackle release lever can be accessed when the box is open and unlocked.
