MasterLock Luggage Lock Review

January 8, 2013 by Karen

Share
I recently took a trip to Texas.  It has been quite a while since I have traveled by air and this was my first flight alone so a little nerve racking for me.  Outside of a drawn out seven hour delay in Dallas/Ft. Worth due to a little snow and ice, it was a good trip.
I had the opportunity to review the MasterLock TSA-Accepted Luggage Lock for my trip.  It’s great that this is a lock that screeners won’t cut.  My bag was tagged as being inspected on my way down and arrived with lock intact.
The MasterLock Luggage Lock No. 4688D is an acceptable lock for checked in baggage that meets the requirements of TSA.  It has a flexible cable that can cope with the abuse from baggage handling equipment and a 3 dial combination.  You can set your own combination or go with the factory set code.  This little lock seems quite durable in function and is just 1 1/8″ wide and about 1 1/2″ long plus dimensions of the flexible cable.
This lock is suited for:
  • Luggage and travel
  • Backpacks, duffel bags and sport bags
  • Briefcases and computer bags
  • Jewelry and curio cabinets.

The MasterLock Luggage Lock has a suggested retail of $9.21.  To learn more about this products and others by MasterLock, please visit www.masterlock.com, on Facebook, and on Twitter.

Disclosure:  I received a MasterLock Luggage Lock for this review.  The thoughts and feelings expressed are my own.  No other compensation was received for this review.
