Mall of America has the perfect place to pose for photos with Santa and share a holiday wish list. Mall guests have more ways to visit Santa this year:
1) Schedule an appointment: For busy families, you can schedule an appointment to visit Santa at The Santa Experience! Start the holiday season with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Minnesota and Mall of America for the Season of Wishes campaign. A display of 50 wishes will be featured in Macy’s Court to share the stories of courageous Minnesota wish kids living with life-threatening medical conditions. Guests can stop by and help light up the life of a child by granting 50 wishes this holiday season.

Catholic Charities Giving Tree
As a holiday tradition, the Giving Tree provides gifts to those who would not normally receive them. Each ornament on the tree represents one holiday wish for homeless and low-income families. Mall guests who select an ornament can purchase the item listed and return it to Catholic Charities in Macy’s Court. Gifts will be delivered to the families before Christmas Day.

Ice Castle
This winter, Mall of America® will bring a one-of-a-kind experience to visitors from around the world. Ice Castles, LLC, will build its largest structure ever, a castle that will stand more than 40 feet tall at its peak and span more than one acre. Inside the Ice Castle, there will be several “Throne Rooms” with an ice chair large enough to seat several people. At night, the castle will take on a magical look as thousands of LED multi-colored lights illuminate the ice from within. There will also be a children’s snow park area with a snow pile that is 40 feet in diameter and 4 feet tall for kids to play and even make snowmen. Warm drinks and food will also be available for purchase.

HGTV Holiday House
HGTV is celebrating the holidays by inviting fans to the HGTV Holiday House, a modern-day life-size gingerbread house that will offer shoppers the opportunity to attend daily demonstrations, meet and greets or autograph sessions with such popular network stars such as as David Bromstad (Design Star); Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri (Kitchen Cousins); Genevieve Gorder (Dear Genevieve and Design Star); Chris Lambton (Going Yard); Carter Oosterhouse (Million Dollar Rooms); Scott McGillivray (Income Property); Chuck Nice (Home Strange Home); Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott (Property Brothers); Egypt Sherrod (Property Virgins) and Sabrina Soto (The High Low Project). DIY Network stars Nicole Curtis (Rehab Addict), Amy Matthews (Sweat Equity) and Matt Muenster (Bath Crashers), along with Sara Peterson, editor-in-chief, HGTV Magazine, will also appear during the event.
HGTV Holiday house activities include enjoying episodes of HGTV shows, House Hunters Bingo every Monday night, various sweepstakes, a spectacular holiday light show at 1 p.m., 5 p.m. & 8 p.m. daily and kid-friendly activities like gingerbread cookie decorating, crafts and coloring on Toddler Tuesdays®. Shoppers can grab photos in HGTV’s custom holiday photo experience or pose in front of the gingerbread house and a 44 ft. tall Christmas tree.
For the first time, the HGTV® HOME line will be on display for the public at a special HGTV HOME Pop-Up Showroom, a 2,000 sq. ft. store located on Level 1, South. Opening on Black Friday, the pop-up showroom will highlight the breadth and diversity of products in the HGTV Home collection — from paint, flooring and furniture to lighting, accessories and plants.
