My oldest daughter turned seven earlier this month. It was our first home birthday party with friends in attendance and I was asked if I wanted to share Magic Straws with our guests.
Magic Straws magically turn milk into a delicious treat. They recently partnered with Dippin Dots to develop two new flavors: S’Mores and Birthday Cake. The girls who attended were sent home with Magic Milk Straws Birthday Cake from the party and we tried some after the party at home. I have since tried S’Mores too. Magic Straws are also available in flavors like strawberry, chocolate, vanilla milkshake, cookies and cream, and more.
Here are our gift bags from the party. Each pack of Magic Milk Straws contain five individual straws. Magic Straws, the company that makes Magic Milk Straws, is three years old and is based in Bloomington, MN.
Magic Milk Straws are simple to use. Just place the straw in a glass of milk and sip. You do not need to cut the straw for use. The ends of the straw are partially crimped to keep the flavor beads in place.
My children enjoyed the two new flavors. They did not seem to have any difficulty sucking the milk into the straw. Please keep in mind that you are to use 1 cup (8 fl. oz) of milk per straw. I usually give my kids a bit more than 1 cup so the flavor disappeared before they finished their glasses.
Magic Milk Straws can be used with dairy, soy or lactose-free milk. They do not need to be refrigerated, but are usually on display by the milk at your local grocer’s. The straws do not contain high fructose corn syrup, lactose, fat, cholesterol, or gluten. Each straw has 17 calories, 0 grams of fat, and 4 grams of sugar.
They can be purchased at Walmart, Target, Safeway and Kroger grocery stores nationwide and are also available in convenience stores such as Holiday in the Twin Cities.
