My seven-year-old couldn’t wait to help me with this review. Light Up Links came with a set of LightUp Pods, Flex Links, and with three lengths of Glow Sticks. There is also a fun Light Up Links Model Making Guide included with color images. Batteries are not needed to use Light Up Links. This product was released just last month.
- LightUp Pods – have 5 spokes that point in all directions with 3 LED lights. The lights flash red, white, and blue. You need to shake or tap them in order for them to light up. They also float in water.
- Flex Links – flexible connector that twists and bends. They fit LightUp Pod spokes and Glow Sticks.
- Glow Sticks – come in three different lengths (long, medium, and short) and fit into Flex Links.

Tonight my daughter processed one of the larger projects, an air guitar
and a pair of goggles
The goggles were shown to go right behind the ears. I had her add on a few more links and pods to go around her head and stay on a little bit better.

My thoughts on Light Up Links:
- Easy to use and fun to play with for a variety of ages and both genders
- Connecting the pieces helps with creativity and developing fine motor skills
- Can be played with in a wet or dry environment
- There are wheels shown in the Model Making Guide and on the website that are to come with the kit.
- The pods light up for about 5 seconds before they need to be re-tapped. The life expectancy of the pods with continued use is six months.
