We have an ice-cube maker in our fridge, but sometimes it’s nice to have more on hand or in this case, larger cubes than what our maker makes to keep drink and other items cool.
The Kuuk Silicone Ice Cube Tray comes as a twin pack with a blue and bright green tray. The ice cubes are 1″.
They are made with 100% BPA free silicone. The cubes are pretty easy to remove with silicone since it is more pliable versus plastic trays. I will say it is more difficult to carry them from the sink to the freezer since the trays are flexible and you are transporting a liquid.
Also, be sure to not overfill the trays. The cube design is connected in this style of mold so you can’t manipulate it as much if the cubes are connected to each other by ice. After use, the trays can be washed in the top rack of the dishwasher.
These trays aren’t just suitable for making ice. You can easily add your own chopped herbs and spices, sauces, baby food, and juices for perfectly portioned cubes when you need them. Just thaw before feeding, or add them to your favorite recipes during cooking. They also make ideal candy molds for perfectly shaped chocolate bars and more.
