Juppy Review & Giveaway

August 23, 2011 by Karen

I was recently given the opportunity to review the Juppy, a walking aid for children.  I had chosen to review the Juppy in blue and try it out on our son who is soon to be 8-months-old.  Once I made my color selection, it quickly arrived.  My son was not at all stressed to be in the Juppy.  I have not washed it yet, but am glad to hear that it is machine washable on cold cycle and just needs to air dry.

It was great to feel the usual strain from helping a child walk/stand vanish with the use of the Juppy.  I am 5’6″ and thought it worked very well for me.  There was about an 1″ left of fabric to let out so I’m not sure how someone taller, say above 6′ would do with the length of the adjustable straps.  Otherwise, a great aid!

What is the Juppy?

“The Juppy Baby Walker is a non-traditional, parent-
assisted baby walker used to safely teach babies how
to walk sooner while eliminating dangerous falls.

The baby is placed safely in the seat of the Juppy, and while standing
upright the parent simply holds on to the soft cotton straps giving the
baby confidence and support.

Typically parents tend to hold their babies by the hands or under the
arms to teach them to walk. This causes stress and strain on the lower
back of the parent and could cause injuries to the child’s arms or joints.
The Juppy Baby Walker reduces your pain and eliminates possible
injury to your child.”

The Juppy comes in two colors, blue and pink.  Each one comes with a lovely satin bag to transport it in.  It easily folds up, place in your purse, and take it pretty much any place away from home.  The Juppy is labeled to fit any size, up to 30 lb.  It is machine or hand washable, 100% cotton.  It is also noted in being helpful for special needs children with developmental challenges.

The old-fashioned way of helping a child learn how to walk.
Caleb seems quite comfortable in it.

Note me being able to be upright and not having to bend over like before.  I think you can easily see a difference in my posture with helping my son stand and walk.
