Jungle Shuffle is a family-friendly title that was released on Blu-ray combo, DVD, and digital HD March 10th. It features the voices of Rob Schneider, Tom Arnold, Alicia Silverstone, Drake Bell, and Jessica Dicicco.
In Jungle Shuffle, Manu and Sacha are two young coatis who are in love with each other. To complicate things, Sacha is what would be considered a coatis princess and Manu accidentally destroys the tribe’s worshiped statue. Manu is then abolished from the tribe.
Some time passes and Manu and Sacha are reunited again. There feelings are still the same for each other. Sacha is then kidnapped by a poacher who plans to deliver her to a weird scientist, Dr. Loco, who needs her genes and those of other forest creatures to create a “super chicken”. Manu takes off to rescue Sacha and befriends a little monkey named Chuy on their adventure.
My children thought this was a fun movie to view. As an adult, I thought it was a bit weird to see the villains working to create a super chicken with genes from multiple critters as an important part in the story line.
