Traveling the world is a dream many people hold. It’s not usually practical to take off for a year or two to do it, though. Instead, a family vacation once or twice a year will gradually tick off these must-see places from the dream list. Italy is one of those places that has so much to offer. It wouldn’t be possible to see everything during one visit. There are the cities, the countryside, and the coast to explore. Here’s some of the sights to see if you want to explore the coast of Italy in 2016:
The world renowned Amalfi Coast offers some of the best coastal views to be seen and there is plenty of it to explore. This region is rich in air-conditioned villas that make ideal vacation accommodation. They offer the freedom to come and go when it’s convenient. Many vacation villas are situated very close to the beach or near to the center of the communities that serve them.
Positano has become a firm favorite for Italians, world travelers, and international vacationers alike. It is beautifully picturesque with the pastel color render on the buildings. The sea glistens in the sunshine and is a rich blue in color. There is a rich history of this quaint seaside town. The paths are steep, and there are a lot of steps. After working up an appetite, there are plenty of splendid restaurants to enjoy a fantastic meal.

The gardens are very romantic, and many people happily spend several hours sitting here enjoying the quiet and the views. There is also a famous music festival held here every year that could make the perfect excuse to visit.

For one of the best homes of wine and olive production, a visit to Manarola is a must. It is widely considered as being one of the most picturesque towns in the region. The multicolored buildings seem almost to teeter on the edge of the sea cliffs here. There are great hiking trails in this region as well as good train links to visit each of the other Cinque Terre villages.

Anyone who loves lying on a sandy beach in the sun will delight at the Venice Lido. This is the place to come for soaking up the rays and enjoying the water. It first became a resort for beach lovers in the 1800s. Some believe this is the first place in Europe to be considered in this way. There are seven miles of glorious beach to enjoy with all the typical seaside activities one would expect. Best of all, the Venice Film Festival is held here every summer to make the views even more eye-popping.
Italy’s coastline is extraordinary and rightly deserves a place on anyone’s travel bucket list. For a great vacation, Italy is a wonderful destination. Accommodations are plentiful and comfortable and the views are worthy of any camera.
