Hot Pants Review

November 27, 2011 by Karen

I have certainly been in need of weightloss after having our last child and needing yet to lose some of the pregnancy weight I have still been carrying from my first child from 2006.   With that being said, I jumped on the opportunity to try Zaggora’s HotPants and started my journey the middle of November.
HotPants does not require a crazy diet or strict exercise routine.  They originated in the UK and are made of bio-ceramic material (has been used in medical industry since 1970’s), which creates infra-red waves (heat waves).  This in turn, reflects heat waves back to your body and can increase sweat production by up to 80%!  With that being said, the claim is to lose two dress sizes in two weeks and to also decrease the appearance of cellulite.
HotPants are to be so comfortable that you can even wear them when you are sleeping.  It is recommended that you wear HotPants a minimum of 30 minutes a day, like during a typical work-out.
Here is a picture of the pants on the inside around waist.
Here is my chubby self in the HotPants.  They go to right above my knees, kind of like a pair of biker’s shorts.  I had gotten a large, which was for sizes 12-14 in US.

I am not much of a sweater, but I was amazed that when I did work out, how much I had perspired in the area of the bum and upper legs!  I did not measure myself before/after, but do feel it created a difference in how my jeans felt less snug within two weeks use.  I did not notice a difference in cellulite though.
I did wear them around the house the first day and they kept me quite warm.  Maybe HotPants should  create a line of outerwear for those of us stuck in the sometimes frigid climates.  I would be a purchaser for that product!
I can see some truth in how HotPants work and decreasing size.  I have read how you are born with so many fat cells and will always have that number.  Even people that go through liposuction, they often gain back what they lose.  Weight gain can be seen as fat cells plumping up or gaining water and so if you perspire more, shrinkage should be noted.  I just wore HotPants while working out every other day for 30 minutes with Zumba for Wii during a two week period.  I haven’t been so good about working out again and the jeans are certainly more snug.
I see only two downfalls to HotPants.  If you are working out at the gym, you might expect some conversation with seeing HotPants printed in plain view and in a bright yellow square on them.  Secondly, they require hand washing in cold water.  Do not wring, iron, bleach, dry clean, line dry in shade, and no use of harsh chemicals or detergents.  Materials listed in HotPants are: neoprene, polyester, nylon and patented celu-lite technology.
