Reese Witherspoon does not disappoint in this entertaining romantic comedy titled Home Again. It came out on digital November 21 and on Blu-ray and DVD last week from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. I received a complimentary copy of this title for review.
Alice (Witherspoon) is recently separated and is learning how to be a single mom to two girls. She has moved back home with her mother in California.
Alice and her girlfriends had been enjoying a night out to celebrate Alice’s 40th birthday. She hooks up with a young guy that leads to an unusual evening together and shortly after finds that he and two young filmmaker friends are to move into her guest house.
Alice’s budding romance comes to an abrupt stop when her ex-husband travels in from New York unexpectedly, hoping to quickly restart their failed relationship. This is a story of friendship, love, and sometimes the rocky beginnings of starting over.
Produced by Nancy Meyers, who brought us beloved films including Something’s Gotta Give, The Holiday, and The Intern, Home Again is filled with a talented ensemble cast including Michael Sheen (Midnight in Paris), Lake Bell (What Happens In Vegas), Nat Wolff (The Fault in Our Stars), Pico Alexander (A Most Violent Year), Jon Rudnitsky (“Saturday Night Live”) and Candice Bergen (Miss Congeniality).
