One of the more recent movie installments by Lionsgate is called Guardians of Time. It is a family adventure film that is rated PG for some peril and brief, mild violence.
Sybil, her kid sister, Alex, and two cousins discover a magical book the family manner. The book opens for them and it then opens a hidden door that leads them to the magical forest of Keoherus. These girls are labeled the Warrior Four. They have to solve puzzles to then gather crystals that will allow them to control time and hopefully return home. The kid sister, Alex, is capture and the others must rescue her before finding a way home or they could stay trapped in Keoherus forever.
The cast for this film includes Samantha Ryan, Ava Torres, Skip Schwink (Minari), Katie Burgess (Agent Jade Black), Natalie Daniels (“Hawaii Five -O”), Drew Pollock (“Grey’s Anatormy”). It has a run time of 99 minutes.
This film has some new-looking villains and monsters. It has a sort of a Harry Potter and Narnia type of feel, but not as jazzed up. I think overall, it was a nice film to sit down and watch with the family.
