Over the last several years, I have been a fan of watching Hell’s Kitchen. Gordon Ramsay is an amazing chef. Quick and Delicious: 100 Recipes to Cook in 30 Minutes or Less is the first of his cookbooks I have gotten to review. It features 100 recipes that are to take 30 minutes or less to prepare.
Now I must admit that I live in a bit of a food desert. I have to plan to find some of the ingredients used in this cookbook, like lemongrass paste, pink peppercorns, truffle paste, or to cook a dish that calls for sea bass. If you have access to ingredients like this, I would say this cookbook uses readily available ingredients. For me, it’s an hour to find ingredients like these or to order online. Some of the recipes though are those that I can easily prepare at home, like tonight I hope to try Zucchini Fries with having some fresh zucchini yet in the garden.
The recipes in Quick and Delicious look and sound amazingly fresh and simple to prepare once you have everything in place to prepare in your home. Check out some of Gordon’s quick and delectable recipes:
- Mexican Beef and Jalapeño Quesadillas
- Porcini Tagliatelle with Pine Nuts
- Cauliflower Soup with Brown Butter and Cheesy Toasts
- Pea & Mint Guacamole
- Banana Split with Salted Caramel Chocolate Sauce
Gordon Ramsay’s Quick and Delicious: 100 Recipes to Cook in 30 Minutes or Less is available in hardcover and electronic to help you create delicious food in your own kitchen.
