We have had our share of close encounters with wildlife during the almost 10 years we have lived here. From the unpopular skunk and woodchuck to the grace of trumpeter swans, wandering turtles, and the oddity of a beaver walking into our yard one year. There has been a pair of sandhill cranes frequently visiting in the yard lately. Sorry, didn’t get to mowing the lawn until after taking these pictures. The weather has been hot and sticky for MN and not fun to sit on a lawn mower for about 2 hours. I’m not sure what they were finding int he grass, but it led them to tear up chunks of grass.
