Unfortunately, I have needed corrected vision since I was teen for my nearsightedness. Over the last few years, my prescription has finally started to decrease and I have still contemplated seeing if Lasik is right for me. In the meantime, contacts during the day and glasses in the evening have been my go-to solution. Since I usually don’t sport glasses until the evening, my eyes look a bit tired when I finally give them a rest and expose them to more oxygen.
I have used GlassesShop.com for my daughter’s lenses and recently got a to try out a pair for myself to review. I first had to figure out what my pupillary distance was and have a current prescription from my eye doctor on hand before shopping. I settled on the Iowa Rectangle in black. They have a base price of $29.95 and currently, there is a promotion to buy one get one free.
The Iowa Rectangle Frames I got to try also come in a blue/black and green. The material they are made from is acetate. A free microfiber cloth was included in the case they were sent in. The only thing I miss from getting glasses directly from the eye doctor is the adjusting of the frames. If I wear this pair for several hours, it does start to get uncomfortable behind the ears.
