Now that I have covered some salty snacks options for the holidays, let’s switch gears and talk about something sweet to share and enjoy. ginnybakes was created in 2010 by Ginny Simon, who has a passion for nutrition, active living and baking. Ginny graduated from the School of Integrative Nutrition in New York City. Many of her clients dealt with gluten intolerance and celiac disease. They often experienced digestive issues and so Ginny sought to create gluten-free treats.
ginnybakes cookies are organic, gluten-free, non-GMO, certified kosher, and do not contain artificial preservatives. They are handmade and baked fresh each morning.
The cookies are crunchy and crisp, not soft. I think they pair nicely with a cup of coffee or tea. My favorite variety was Coconut Oatmeal Bliss, which were buttery with just the right amount of sweetness. None of my family members currently have any issues with gluten so I can’t tell you how they compare to other gluten-free sweets.
