With the weather still nice, we spend a lot of time outdoors. This may not be the case in pnly a matter of months and then it is onto a different set of activities, more that are played indoors.
Geospace makes this nifty little ping-pong set titled “Game Time™ Table Tennis Travel Set” that I think would be wonderful to break up the monotonous cold weather routine or even bring out on a rainy day. This product includes: 2 paddles, 1 net with 2 suction cups and 2 posts, 2 ping-pong balls, and 1 travel bag with carabiner.
It’s pretty easy to use. Simply attach one leg with suction cup (suction cups do not need to be moistened to stay in place) to your table or other smooth surface. Then put the loops from one side of the net over the leg. I liked having the other leg in place and then would stretch the net across to know where I needed to plant the other suction cup onto the table. That’s pretty much it.
Then serve your ball and bat it back and forth. This ping pong set can be stored after play in the included handy travel bag. It can also be easily transported to a friend’s.
The net is approximately 19.5″ in length and 3″ in height. Speed and precision are a must for this game. Game Time™ Ping Pong is recommended for children 6 and above. My seven-year-old tried playing and I would almost put the ideal age higher than seven with the difficulty she had in playing. My spouse and I could keep up a game for a while. I think this game works best if you have a surface that isn’t much larger than the net so you aren’t left with all this extra area you are not able to play on. Our kitchen table seemed too long.
